With a pair of snowshoes strapped to your feet, you’ve got a whole new world to explore - and it’s as easy as walking. When it comes to selecting the ultimate routes for wandering the Narnia-like wonderland in and around Steamboat Springs, Colorado, these trails are the area’s cream of the crop.

Due to its unique location as Colorado’s northernmost ski and snowboard resort, Steamboat often gets snow that no other place does, averaging nearly 30 feet a season. The Boat’s sprawling terrain stretches across almost 3,000 acres and features 165 trails—more than you could ski in an entire week.

Colorado is a beautiful state in any season! However, as personal preferences occur, I am happy as a Coloradan to give you the pros and cons of the weather so you can plan for the best season to make your trip (unless you want to move here like me!)
