Does it really get any better than the MusicFest? In its 36th year, this festival continues to draw thousands of people who love skiing and music. Six days, 60+ bands and live performances featuring Texas and Americana music at the Steamboat Ski & Resort is a vacation you're sure to remember.
Performers
The 2022 event will include a wide array of performers, including favorites such as Cody Canada & the Departed, The Band of Heathens, Casey Donahew, Jonathan Tyler, Jack Ingram, and more. Click below for a full list of performers and bios for this year's 35th annual MusicFest.
Free Concerts for 2020
If you're here for the MusicFest festivities but couldn't secure event tickets or are just visiting Steamboat for a ski trip, there are still a few free concerts for you to enjoy during your stay.
- January 6: Jack Ingram & Kimberly Dunn. The show starts at 12:45 p.m.
- January 7: Read Southall & Randall King. The show starts at 12:45 p.m.
- January 8: Aaron Watson & Pat Green. The show starts at 12:15 p.m.
- January 9: Bri Bagwell & Kevin Fowler. The show starts at 12:45 p.m.
All concerts take place on the Steamboat Stage at Gondola Square.
Things to Do
Not a skier or snowboarder but looking for fun activities to do during your Musicfest trip to Steamboat? Go for a snowmobile tour, go for a dog sled ride, soak in the hot springs, take flight in a hot air balloon, and more. Transportation
Whether you prefer a taxi service, on-site shuttle, or opt for the free bus system, there are many options for easy travel within Steamboat Springs.
Storm Mountain Express
Storm Mountain Express operates a premier shared ride service from the Yampa Valley Regional Airport (Hayden) to your lodging in Steamboat. Storm Mountain Express also offers a private executive shuttle service from Denver International Airport, Eagle/Vail Airport, Steamboat Springs and surrounding areas. Large group charter rates are available upon request.
GO Alpine
GO Alpine has provided the community of Steamboat Springs with local taxi service since 1984. They offer daily ride share or private vehicle service between the Yampa Valley Regional (Hayden) Airport and scheduled, rideshare shuttles between the Denver International Airport. Services available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
Steamboat Springs Transit (SST)
For those without their own transportation, the city of Steamboat Springs offers a comprehensive system of free transportation between the ski area, downtown and most hotel, condominium, restaurant, grocery and entertainment locations, stopping at each location approximately every 20 minutes. Check the bus schedule and ride responsibly during the festival.
Lodging Property Shuttles
Many of the local lodging properties offer shuttle service. The extent of the service is dependent on each property and the season.
