A non-profit organization dedicated to meeting basic human needs while promoting personal growth and self-sufficiency, LiftUp consistently serves close to 1/10 of Routt County’s population each year. Funded by LiftUp Thrift Store revenues, grants, and donations, LiftUp provides close to 2,300 low-income individuals with a wide range of assistance each year, including: Food Assistance, Healthcare Assistance, Housing Assistance, Transient Assistance, Transitional Housing, Utility Assistance, Grow-a-Row, Hope for the Future Scholarship, Power Up.
BookTrails provides literacy adventure camps during the summer and day programs throughout the school year when students are off from school. Education Exploration: This is a new full-day program licensed by the State of Colorado that supplements the Steamboat Springs School District's Phase 3 schedule (every-other-day schooling). This program will be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Learn More

The CSU Routt County Extension Office offers the 4-H program. 4-H is a youth development program for kids ages 8 to 18 that empowers youth to reach their full potential, working, and learning in partnership with caring adults. Formerly North Routt Preschool, they have merged with NRCCS to have one continuous Expeditionary Learning model of education serving North Routt and Steamboat. They offer a full-day program from 7:30-5:00, year-round, to children 12 months old to 5 years old with a summer camp for older children also. NORTHWEST COLORADO HEALTH
Established in 1964, Northwest Colorado Health (formerly Northwest Colorado Visiting Nurse Association) creates community health and wellness through public-private and dual-county partnerships in Routt and Moffat Counties. Northwest Colorado Health has been self-supporting since 1967, and has grown to operate facilities in Steamboat Springs, Hayden and Craig.
