    The snow came fast last night, but just as fast as it came it melted. These kinds of snow storms and rain storms are what get me more and more excited for the spectacular flowers that will soon be blooming. The grass is getting greener and greener with each snow/rain storm. I can’t wait to see the

    I thought the saying was, “April Showers, Bring May Flowers?” Not today in Colorado. For Colorado it should be switched to “April, with a rain/snow mix, highs in the 50’s and 60’s, Bring May Wildflowers”. Somehow, this does not have the same ring as its predecessor but is more of an accurate

    For closing weekend we could have some epic snow. Currently I am looking out my window and it is dumping! Now that there are only 3 days left in the ski season it is crunch time to get as much good, quality, fun, skiing in! Although I am sad to see the ski season be over, I am looking forward to the

    Yes it is sad but true, closing weekend is upon us. To help us celebrate another great ski season Steamboat Ski Corp. has a whole line up of great events. Some of the big festivities include the 29th Annual Smartwool Cardboard Classic on Saturday, the 2nd Annual Splashdown Pond Skimming Competition

    The reason I say crazy is because last week we had temperatures in the 60’s and this week we’ve got tones of snow and it just keeps coming. Many of the Steamboat Springs Schools are out for Blues Break. I have been seeing more kids around town then usually enjoying the outdoors and everything that Steamboat has to offer. When I was in school we only had the typical breaks, spring, Thanksgiving and Christmas break. Now days, it seems

    Buy Local!

    February 17, 2009 by Steamboat Chamber Staff

    The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association has recently launched a Buy Local campaign in hopes of keeping money in our community and helping everyone out. The campaign has evolved into five themes;

    Buy Local. Give Local. Buy Local. Build Partnerships. Buy Local. Get Value. Buy Local. Be Green.

    I am happy to report that in the last 48 hours Steamboat has received a healthy 27 inches of snow! Although I am sorry to say I have not been able to enjoy the light fluffy champagne powder yet, tomorrow morning will be my turn! The snow keeps coming and is in the forecast for the rest of the week.

    Holidays are one of my favorite times of year because it is when my whole family is back together once again. We enjoyed our Christmas time together playing Scrabble, relaxing, eating delicious food, snowshoeing and skiing. We all had a wonderful time together but agreed the time went by to fast!
