Kindness Floats the Boat Toolkit

Encourage mindful travel throughout Steamboat Springs by sharing Kindness Floats the Boat messaging with your audience. Here are some resources businesses can use to spread the kindness messaging on their own channels and materials.

How to use the toolkit:

Reference the campaign principles in text – the principles should never be labeled as rules, but always as principles or guidelines; they should always be referred to as the “Kindness Floats the Boat Principles” of Spread Kindness, Preserve the Place, and Take Care.

Reference the full campaign name in the text. For example, do not use KFTB or Kindness-Floats-The-Boat, instead use Kindness Floats the Boat.

Reprint the Kindness Floats the Boat logo and principles in your event guide or include it in your welcome packet – email us if you need different logo sizes for this purpose. You can adopt the existing examples on the Kindness Floats the Boat website or adopt examples that still fall into the three principles but that apply more directly to your event.

Work with Steamboat Springs Chamber (SSC) to customize portions of the toolkit for your organization.

Share toolkit videos and content on your website and social channels, crediting the SSC and other partners involved in individual campaigns.

Print the campaign principles and posters and post them in your lobby, front window or other welcome areas.

Print material from the toolkit to hand out to guests.

For all other usage and questions, please contact Laura Soard at the Steamboat Springs Chamber.
