CHAMBER MIXERS
Year-Round
Mixers, hosted by our local businesses and nonprofits, are designed on a larger scale to allow for more casual networking. They provide great opportunities for hosts and attendees. As an attendee this is your chance to meet new people, get your name out there, and grow your network in a fun, social environment with free food, drinks, and great prizes. Mixers are free for Chamber members and their guests.
Hosting a Mixer
As a host, Mixers are an ideal opportunity to gain exposure and publicity for your business, network, meet potential new clients, educate the local workforce on your business offerings, and demonstrate your investment in the community. Requirements
- Space to accommodate 50-75 people (indoor or outdoor depending on the season).
- Provide catering-quality hors d’oeuvres and alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for a minimum of 75 people.
- Ample parking for 30+
- Provide prize drawing giveaway with a minimum value of $25 (each host)
- Submit your logo and promotional text two months before the Mixer for event marketing purposes. The promotional should include what makes your business/venue special and what you do.
- Must be a current, paid member of the Chamber.
- The Chamber must be notified in advance for special requests such as performances, speakers, and other items.
- Mixer fee of $600 (can be split between 2-4 hosts)
Chamber Will Provide
- Promotion of host organization(s) on the Chamber website including a custom event page
- Inclusion in the Monday Minute, Weekly Happenings, Steamboat Pilot, social media, and radio ads
- Promotion to chamber committees including the board of directors, lodging committee, destination stewardship committee, and young professionals network
- Two branded email invitations to all Chamber members
- TIPS-certified servers for beverages
- Registration setup and table including staff to welcome attendees
- Staff to manage the prize drawings and attendee tracker. Will compile attendee contact information and share with host organization(s).
