I can not believe the amount of water that is around us in Steamboat. The Elk River reached its highest levels ever recorded yesterday. With the nice sprinkling of rain/snow we are receiving today and all of the potential melt of that will happen we may have some more records broken.
All of this water is getting me very excited for tubing down the Yampa River. This is one of my favorite summer time activities to do with friends. It is very beautiful and relaxing to float down the lazy river, although do not forget about those few rapids that bring you out of the summer time daze!
