As a truly well-rounded mountain, you can find something for everyone at Steamboat. With that in mind, there are fan favorites every skier and rider can enjoy.

For the speedy, show-person in your crew, head over to Sunshine Lift Line for some fun carving and cheers from the lift riders. This blue run gives a fun ride, even on a powder day. Just be on the lookout for the flat midway down, or you’ll be helping your boarder friends get back up to speed.

Sticking to runs you can access from the top Sunshine Lift and Wild Blue Gondola, check out the great work Resort Operations did in Summer 2025 to move QuickDraw onto the recently groomed list more often. This run is a fan favorite for its length and relative quiet compared to its neighbor, Tomahawk.

If you’re waiting for your friends who are making a pit stop at Rendezvous Saddle, hot laps on Spike are an easy and fun way to stay nearby while keeping your body moving. When the crew is ready to ride again, you can meet at the top of the South Peak lift and head off to enjoy other parts of the mountain.

Once your legs are warmed up, head over to Pony Express to enjoy more advanced terrain. Even the most casual rider in your group will enjoy a challenge on Longhorn, a Blue/Black offering something for everyone. Sometimes bumpy and sometimes fluffy, this run will give you a chance to try your skills without the world watching from a lift above.

No visit to Steamboat is complete without a zip down Storm Peak, namesake for a local brewery and home to the Storm Peak Weather Observatory. With a great open face, get your turns on or pop over to skier's left for some trees and bumps! Don’t miss the chance to see the best view of the valley as you head for Four Points for a great late-day snack.

Once the crew has had their fill of champagne powder up high, make your way down to Thunderhead and follow the locals to Heavenly Daze. Getting your last few turns in on this friendly blue run will leave you feeling ready to check out the local hot spots for dinner and hot springs for a soak.
