The Steamboat Springs Chamber, in partnership with Yampa Valley Bank, is excited to present the Annual Cowboy Roundup Days Fourth of July Parade this year. This event is an opportunity to honor the Yampa Valley’s rich Western heritage while bringing the community together each year. The community has been celebrating the Fourth of July in true Western fashion for over 100 years with rich traditions and a full slate of events and activities.
This year's parade theme is “Theme: Our Western Heritage – Homegrown Heroes”. The parade will take place on Thursday, July 4 at 10:00 am and will run along Lincoln Street.
Please note that during all events over the July 4th weekend, there will be additional parking available at Steamboat Springs High School and the Stockbridge Transit Center.
The Fourth of July events kick off with the Pro Rodeo Series on Wednesday, July 3rd. They will continue throughout the weekend with live music, the Farmer’s Market, and more. July 4 you can expect to see other fun events including the Jumpin’ and Jammin’ Ski Jump Competition, a special July 4 Rodeo, and the parade.

Tips for a safe and memorable Fourth of July in Steamboat Springs:
- No personal fireworks. Prevent Wildfires.
Fireworks that explode or leave the ground are illegal in Colorado. Please respect our dry, high alpine environment and leave the fireworks to the pros. There will be a public fireworks display at Steamboat Lake State Park around 9:00 on Saturday, July 6.
- Be aware of traffic closures.
The parade’s traffic plan will use a circular configuration that sees US40 eastbound traffic diverted onto Yampa Street and US40 westbound traffic onto Oak Street. Reroutes will be provided but please plan ahead.
- Bike, walk or use public transportation when possible.
Parking will be limited, and traffic congestion is expected. Keep cars off the road and carbon emissions to a minimum by using your wheels, feet or a bus if you’re not going far. For those who need to park, additional parking will be available at Steamboat Springs High School and the Stockbridge Transit Center.
- Respect Wildlife.
If you come across a bear, moose or any other wild animal this coming holiday, please remember to keep your distance and follow these wildlife safety tips. Don’t let your guard down just because it’s the Fourth – the animals won’t know the difference. Be conscious of food, making sure it is not left out overnight for both your safety and the animal’s.
