The Steamboat Ski Area is reporting that the mountain has received over 21 feet of snow already this season and yes, the snow is STILL falling with no signs of stopping in the next few days. This weekend, with the great snow, dining and shopping in Steamboat, especially on this holiday weekend everything was busy, including me. Whether you have friends in town like me, you are a first time visitor or you are a Steamboat local, there are so many options of where to eat, shop and play and it is fun to mix it up and try new places.

Saturday morning started with a delicious breakfast at Winona’s, a breakfast and lunch restaurant in downtown Steamboat Springs. Yummy, try their cinnamon rolls they are amazing. Following our wonderful meal, my friend and I shopped along Lincoln Avenue, the main street in Steamboat. We stopped in shoe, clothing, kitchen wear, art and book stores. One of our favorite stops was at a local downtown drug store, Lyon's, where we took photos of ourselves in the photo booth they have onsite, good old fashioned fun! Sunday I was up on the mountain…what a weekend!

Tomorrow, the 34th Annual Bud Light Cowboy Downhill will take place at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area at 1:30 pm. This is a great event and tradition to check out while you are in town. More about that tomorrow!
