Did you know the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association is celebrating its 100th year of service in the Steamboat community?
The Centennial Celebration has included new programs geared towards improving our business community including the Sustainable Steamboat Business Program and a NEW Steamboat Chamber Health Plan available to the members and their employees.
Beyond new programs the Chamber is marking its one hundred years with a Grand Celebration - Saturday evening, October 27th at Sidney Peak Ranch - presented by Mountain Valley Bank and Holiday Inn in Steamboat. Individual tickets and Corporate tables will be available for sale shortly and we are currently looking for Business Sponsors to help support the event. For more information call Matt Windt, (970) 875-7002.
Additionally, SSCRA will dedicate its "gift to the community" by mid-2008. The gift is a bronze statue to be placed on the 5th & Lincoln corner of the courthouse lawn. The statue represents the three primary industries of our first hundred years - ranching, mining and skiing - along with children playing representing our future. Stay tuned for opportunities to support the community gift.
Don't forget Labor Day Weekend is a fantastic time to visit the Yampa Valley. An Air Festival/Fly-In, Stock Dog Challenge, PBR Bull Riding, Running Series race on Rabbit Ears and downtown sidewalk sale all highlight this exciting weekend. For more information call 970-879-0882 or click.
