Opera Steamboat

Opera Steamboat produces professional classical and contemporary operas in the heart of the Yampa Valley. Combining world-class artists from the major opera houses of the world with local professional musicians, Opera Steamboat promotes the vocal and performance arts at the highest level. The Education programs include Opera-in-the-Schools touring program bringing teaching artists into schools to get kids up and doing musical activities. New in 2025 is the Rising Stars Youth Opera Program, in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Colorado,  bringing the magic of the opera to kids 8-12 through a fun and wildly engaging opportunity to learn about singing, acting, movement, storytelling, and more. Opera Steamboat is dedicated to being at the center of the Steamboat community so please watch for fun and unique engagements activities and partnerships with local not-for-profits and businesses to enhance our mainstage programming.
