Steamboat Lake Outpost

Steamboat Lake Outpost offers year-round dining, lodging, and outdoor experiences. Located 20 miles north of downtown Steamboat Springs, our backyard is the backcountry. Enjoy a gorgeous mountain sunset from one of our one- or two-bedrooms cabins, or from the porch of our motel-style rooms. We also have RV spots with electric hook-ups.

During the winter, we offer guided snowmobile tours and rentals. In the summer, explore Steamboat Lake State Park or the Routt National Forest on one of our guided horseback rides, or join us for an off-road adventure on one of our ATVs or side-by-sides.

The restaurant at The Outpost (Coming June 2022!) features elevated American fare, including creative takes on classic burgers and sandwiches, pizzas, salads, and gluten-free and vegan options.

We also have a general store and fuel pumps on the property. Here at The Outpost, we take pride in providing small-town friendly service, getting to know you, and helping you make memories with your friends & family. We look forward to hosting you.
