Overview
Steamboat Lake Outpost offers year-round dining, lodging, and outdoor experiences. Located 25 miles north of downtown Steamboat Springs, our backyard is the backcountry. Enjoy a gorgeous mountain sunset from one of our one or two-bedrooms cabins or from the porch of our motel-style rooms. We also have RV spots with electric hook-ups.
In the summer we guide horseback trail rides, UTV tours and fishing cruises on Steamboat Lake. In the winter we offer horse-drawn sleigh ride dinners, ski and snowshoe tours, ice-fishing and snowmobile tours and rentals. All the tours leave from The Outpost property and explore the gorgeous mountain scenery of Steamboat Lake or Routt National Forest.
Our restaurant features rustic comfort food, including creative takes on classic burgers and sandwiches, pizzas, salads, dinner entrees and gluten-free and vegan options.
We also have a general store and fuel pumps on the property. At Steamboat Lake Outpost, we take pride in providing friendly service, getting to know you and helping you make memories with your friends and family. We look forward to hosting you!
