Bulls and Bands in the BoatBulls and Bands

Bulls and Bands in the Boat is a new event for summer 2017, featuring western themed bull riding and American Freestyle bull fight competitions, followed immediately by live music. All concerts will feature country and country rock bands and performers.

Freestyle Bull Fighting

American Freestyle bullfighting was developed by rodeo clowns who protect bull riders in the line of fire from an angry bull. The goal of the sport is to engage the bull during 70-seconds of competition where the bullfighter attempts to outrun and avoid the bull by dodging, jumping, and hiding behind a barrel.

Attendees will be treated to a healthy dose of western entertainment with more than a dozen PRCA bull fights and an equal number of the up and coming young guns in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.

Live music will immediately follow the bull riding and bull fighting competitions, and stages will vary from some being within the arena itself to other locations nearby. Artists include Chancey Williams on July 12, Logan Mize on July 19, and Waterloo Revival July 26.
