Originally from Texas and Ohio, for the last 40 years Bo and Sue Stempel have lived, worked and played in Colorado. After numerous road trips on the lookout for a new hometown in the mountains, in 2005 they played in a tennis tournament in Steamboat and moved there 9 months later with their son Wyatt.
It was no surprise when they easily fell into the outdoor Steamboat lifestyle of skiing, hiking, biking, camping, trail running, tennis, etc. The completely unexpected and profound discovery was that real estate as a profession allowed them to find personal and professional fulfillment through the relationships that they developed with our clients. In fact, they laugh about the process of folks going from client to ‘frient’ to friend.
Having made a major transition ourselves, we understand the multiple levels of decision-making, emotions and financial considerations that go into buying and selling real estate. Our mission is to focus on you, to make sure you are well-informed regarding the local market and the process involved in buying and selling real estate in Steamboat Springs.
If you are selling property, we will create a marketing plan that presents your property in the best light to maximize the sale price in the timeframe that works for you. If you are buying, we will help you find the property that makes you feel good each time you turn into the driveway (or when you receive the checks when your guests do!).
Whether you are making Steamboat Springs your permanent home, looking for a weekend getaway, an investment opportunity, wanting to move up or down in size, or even to leave the valley, Susan and I are committed to assisting you in reaching your goals.
While we both have extensive knowledge of single-family homes, condominiums, townhomes, ranches, land, and fractional ownerships, I have additional expertise in the unique issues involved in rural property including equestrian facilities, livestock, water, wells, septic systems, fencing, barns, outbuildings, hunting and fishing, and I love nothing more than walking the land!
