Growing up in Edina, Minnesota and attending University of Wisconsin - Madison, Ted Hoffman moved west to Steamboat Springs in 1992 to fulfill his dream of living in the mountains. After working in the property management business for several years, Ted began his real estate career in 1997. After working for several luxury real estate developments, he focused his attention on the general real estate brokerage business where in March, 2009 Ted purchased a Sotheby's International Realty franchise. As Co-Owner/Managing Partner he ran High Mountain Sotheby's the following four years. In March, 2013, Ted joined Prudential Steamboat Realty, the number-one market share company in Steamboat, where he continues to serve his clients in the areas of high-end luxury, investment, and residential properties. In 2014, Ted once again was able to utilize the Sotheby's network when Prudential Steamboat transitioned to Steamboat Sotheby's International Realty. Mr. Hoffman is also Owner and Managing Partner of a real estate development company, Zephyr Companies. Zephyr Cos. is currently working on several high-end residential developments at the base of the Steamboat Ski Area. While at Sotheby's, Ted founded the High Mountain Community Fund, which is a donor-advised fund through the Yampa Valley Community Foundation focused on the philanthropic needs of the Steamboat community. Ted lives in Steamboat with his wife Kristi, son Caleb, and chocolate lab Bailey. He enjoys skiing, fly-fishing, and golfing when he is not in the office working on his next real estate deal.
