Not many people can say this, but Suzan was truly born and raised in Meeker, Colorado. Suzan started skiing as soon as she could walk. She spent many hours on a ski hill built by her father on the Marvine Ranch, which her parents managed. These unique experiences, along with small town values, are what molded Suzan as a person, and what she continues to cherish about northwest Colorado. Growing up a ski racer, Suzan trained during the week on the ranch, then competed with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club on the weekends. While becoming a very accomplished skier required extensive travel, Suzan always looked forward to returning home to Meeker. She loved working on the ranch, operating heavy equipment, irrigating, haying, and working cattle. Her hard work ethic and intimate knowledge of the area comes firsthand from those days on the ranch. During her high school years at the Lowell Whiteman School, she represented Team Colorado and the US Development Ski Team worldwide. Upon "retiring" from international ski racing at the tender age of 20, Suzan accepted a scholarship to Montana State University - Bozeman, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in German Language and European History, while also earning the NCAA All Academic and All American titles in ski racing. After college she worked in St. Moritz, Switzerland, then returned to the ski world once again. She competed in the inaugural Skier-Cross World Cup events, and coached the SSWSC ability team. At age 24, Suzan decided to return to her roots in Meeker. Suzan has dedicated endless hours to supporting local businesses and community organizations. She served as the Director of the Meeker Chamber of Commerce and initiated the Meeker Beautification Project. Suzan's excellent relationships with the community give her the knowledge and insight to provide accurate information to her clients. She truly understands the dynamics of rural Colorado - the people, the lifestyle and the values. Since beginning her real estate career 8 years ago, Suzan has earned a reputation for her excellent sales skills, honesty and integrity - an all-around great real estate agent! She loves her work, and just as in her training and success as a skier, she will work tirelessly on your behalf. Suzan's passion for understanding the ever-changing real estate industry has set her apart from her competitors, and has earned her the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), ABR designation (Accredited Buyers Representative) and ePRO designations. Suzan and her husband Nathan, also a lifelong Meeker resident, recognize the rewards of owning property in the White River Valley and look forward to sharing that dream with newcomers. Whether it's a quick conversation at the grocery store or chatting at a ball game, Suzan and Nathan are always willing to share their enthusiasm for life in rural Colorado. In their spare time, the Pelloni family retreats to the thousands of acres of public land in Rio Blanco County, where they enjoy hunting, camping, fishing, skiing, riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. Suzan is excited to be working with Steamboat Sotheby's International Realty, where she can combine her experience, local knowledge and top-notch service with the global marketing reach and heritage of the globally-recognized, trusted and respected brand of Sotheby's International Realty, in order to offer more to her clients in all price ranges throughout northwest Colorado.
