Join Yampatika as we survey for the American Pika on the Steamboat Ski Resort! Along the way, we will conduct a Nature’s Notebook survey of local flora to gain a better understanding of the habitat as a whole.

 Important details:

• Meeting Location: Varies by week, Yampatika Office in Steamboat or Ladies Aid Hall in Yampa

• Meeting Time/duration: Varies, meeting no earlier than 7am and ending no later than 12:30pm.

• Cost: $35

• Ages 13+

• Route difficulties vary, check our registration page. 

• What to wear: This is a strenuous hike, please wear hiking shoes and appropriate clothing for what the weather brings for the day. Sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen recommended- UV rays are much more powerful at our elevation so even one hour is enough to cause sunburns and sight damage. Water, snacks, and lunch are recommended.
