Join Yampatika as we survey for the American Pika on the Steamboat Ski Resort! Along the way, we will conduct a Nature’s Notebook survey of local flora to gain a better understanding of the habitat as a whole.

Meeting Location: Thunderhead Lift, 3150 Burgess Creek Road - we will meet here and carpool down to the trailhead

What to wear: This is a strenuous hike, please wear hiking shoes and appropriate clothing for what the weather brings for the day. Sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen recommended- UV rays are much more powerful at our elevation so even one hour is enough to cause sunburns and sight damage. Water, snacks, and lunch are recommended.
