The city of Vienna has always been an important center of the classical music world, a place where many composers went to make their name. Mozart, Haydn, and Brahms, three giants on the roster of Austrian composers, are featured during this concert. The program features superb strings, a stunning flute solo, and Brahms’ romantic gem for clarinet and strings, a composition that inspired the composer out of retirement.
