Volunteer: Regeneration Surveys

Join Western Resilience Center’s Climate Crew for weekly regeneration surveys and help promote healthy forests and watersheds! These eight hour field days involve hiking around a wildfire burn area and collecting data on seedling growth, viable seed sources, invasive weeds, and understory vegetation. This information helps identify which parts of the forest are less likely to regenerate naturally, which helps guide future reforestation (tree planting) projects and determine seed needs for those areas. We’ll be meeting at USFS Office OR Stockbridge Transit Center, depending on where we will survey. Please fill out the interest list to sign up.
