Tread of Pioneers Museum presents History Happy Hours

    Don't miss the Tread of Pioneers Museum's History Happy Hour Series, the first Tuesday of each month, October through April, at 5:30 PM at Olympian Hall in Howelsen Hill Lodge (845 Howelsen Pkwy). Explore the rowdy and raucous side of Routt County and Colorado history, including the crimes, conflicts, controversies, and unusual events of the past. Each one-hour event features complimentary craft beer from Storm Peak Brewing and whiskey tasting from Mythology Distillery. Over 21 event. Free but donations welcome.

    Oct. 7 - "Dry Times in the Centennial State" with Sam Bock, Director of Interpretation and Publications at History Colorado

    Nov. 4 - "Vietnam: America's Most Controversial Conflict" with author and historian Flint Whitlock

    Dec. 2 - "Still Here: A Past and Present Insight of Native American People and Culture" with Danielle SeeWalker, activist, author, and artist

    Jan. 6 - "Unknown Tales of the 10th Mountain Division" with Lance Blyth, author, historian, and professor

    Feb. 3 - "Olympic Memories with Local Olympians" in celebration of Winter Carnival and the 2026 Olympics. Partnership with SSWSC. FREE all ages event with hot chocolate and craft beer.

    Mar. 3 - "The History of Black Cowboys" with Acoma Gaither, Assistant Curator of Black History at History Colorado

    April 7 - "Tough Women: Colorado's Unconventional Trailblazers" with Ella Rupp, intern and researcher at History Colorado
