    Fridays at noon in July and August (no July 4 program) at the Tread of Pioneers Museum - 800 Oak St. Each one-hour program features a lecture topic that reveals the unique history of our area presented by the locals who lived it.

    Friday, July 11: “Steamboat Stories From Three Generations of Heids”
    In honor of the Museum’s current exhibit, Heid family members join Ray Heid in sharing their history and colorful stories.

    Friday, July 18: “Hidden History”
    Discovering lost history through Historic Preservation with local historic preservation expert Arianthe’ Stettner and homeowner Holly Williams.

    Friday, July 25: "Realizing the Dream"
    Local Nordic Combined Olympian Ben Berend shares Nordic Combined history and his athletic journey to excellence.
    *Don’t miss the Museum’s feature exhibit: Triumph & Perseverance: The Olympic Legacy in Steamboat Springs.

    Friday, Aug. 1: “The Story of Shorty and Stella: How a Rural Café Strengthened a Community,”
    by great granddaughter Diane Hitchens Holly.

    Friday, Aug. 8: “Pioneers of the Arts: Western Women Who Made History”
    Join author and historian Dagny McKinley as she reveals the stories of the visionary women who helped shape the cultural landscape of Northwest Colorado.
    *Presented in partnership with All Arts Week and Undiscovered Earth.

    Friday, Aug. 15 : “Tolles Tales: Living in Community”
    Stories and memories from a lifetime in Steamboat with Marian Tolles and daughters.

    Friday, Aug. 22: “Reflections on History”
    Museum of Northwest Colorado’s Director, Dan Davidson, reflects on decades of recording and safeguarding regional history and artifacts.

    Friday, Aug. 29: “Elk River Memories”
    Remembering ranching families and days gone by in the Elk River Valley with Jay Fetcher.
