The Tour de Steamboat is a legendary non-competitive cycling event in Colorado offering different route distances for riders of all ages and abilities. The race offers three different road ride routes—26, 46, and 66 miles and 2 gravel routes, a 100 mile and a new 50 Mile route. No matter the distance, all riders are encouraged to go at their own pace, take advantage of the superb support, and enjoy the scenery and history of Northwest Colorado.
Originally hosted by the legendary frame builder, Kent Eriksen, in the late 1970's, the Tour de Steamboat has evolved into an epic Colorado cycling event (including two stages from the 2011 USA Pro Cycling Challenge).
Event participation is limited to 1,000, ensuring a friendly and personal experience with no waiting in line at aid stations. The post-ride party features a beer garden with local microbrews and western-style barbecue.
