New to adventure racing? This is a beginner friendly, fundraiser adventure race to support the Routt County Search and Rescue. Join us for a beautiful day on the trails and water around Steamboat Springs. The event will involve trail running/trekking, boating (tubing), and mountain biking between a series of checkpoints on an unmarked course. The course is a secret until the morning of the race (which is what makes it an Adventure Race!), and simple navigation in the form of reading a trail map is required. Racers are given 6 hours to collect as many checkpoints as possible along the course, covering up to approximately 30 miles in total. The fastest racers will be able to cover the distance and collect all CP's in less time. Slower racers may have to use strategy to determine which checkpoints to abandon to shorten the race and finish in the allowed time. The QMQ is designed to be challenging but more importantly FUN for athletes of all abilities. Open to solo racers, and teams of 2, 3, or 4. So grab your friends and register today!
