    Session 1: Grant Writing

    September 26, 10-11a.m. – Virtual – Grant Writing

    This session is part of a three-part series that will focus on three different key grant process topics. You can attend one, or attend all, and all sessions will be recorded. Speakers will include grant professionals from the City, County, School District, and Yampa Valley Community Foundation.

    This workshop will provide a comprehensive overview of the grant writing process, and real-life examples and templates.

    Some of the topics covered in this session include:

      • Best practices for researching & selecting grants
      • Funder relations and trust-based philanthropy
      • Components of a grant proposal and what funders look for
      • Using data to bolster a proposal
      • Writing effective problem statements
      • Developing a project plan & creating measurable goals/evaluation method
      • Writing a budget narrative
