In this workshop, local Registered Dietitian, Skylar Weir, will guide Gravity Haus members through the essential nutrition strategies that support performance, recovery, and resilience during the winter season. This is a “reset” rooted in nourishment, not restriction, designed to help you build sustainable habits and fuel confidently for skiing, riding, skinning, Nordic days, strength training, and everything in between.

    In this session, you’ll learn:

    • Winter-specific fueling strategies — how altitude, cold weather, and training demands shift your nutrition needs, with practical guidance on carbs, protein, and hydration for mountain sports.
    • How to reset without restriction — simple, supportive ways to refresh habits for the new year while avoiding the burnout of “all-or-nothing” approaches.
    • A personalized winter fueling plan — performance plate templates, grab-and-go snack ideas, and easy tools to stay nourished through busy schedules and long winter days.

    Bio: Skylar Weir, MS, RD is a Registered Dietitian based in Steamboat Springs specializing in sports nutrition. She is the founder of Sky’s Rooted Nutrition, where she supports athletes and active individuals in fueling for performance, strength, and cultivating a more positive relationship with food and their body. Skylar blends evidence-based sports nutrition with a compassionate, relatable approach, helping clients build habits that support energy, resilience, and longevity in the mountains. She works with athletes across disciplines from Nordic skiers to cyclists to everyday adventurers, and partners with local organizations to deliver practical, empowering education to the Yampa Valley community.
