On the federal level, we will discuss the impacts of new executive orders and changing enforcement priorities relating to DEI, affirmative action, and immigration with action steps employers can take in response.
From Colorado, we will discuss bills from 2025 CO legislative session proposing changes to the union election process in CO, the CO Open Records Act (for public employers only), non-compete agreements, the CO Anti-Discrimination Act, the CO Wage Act (for private employers only), and other topics. We will also discuss important cases including a U.S. Supreme Court decision holding that courts can no longer defer to rules and guidance from federal agencies when making decisions. We will close with expected upcoming changes and employment law trends.
