This session will include a brief update on the new CO laws discussed in May. I will also update you on the current state of COVID including tips for managing long-COVID in the workplace and how to comply with updated EEOC FAQs on COVID testing of employees. I will cover the new potential expiration for public health emergency leave under CO’s Healthy Families and Workplaces Act and the CO Dept. of Labor and Employment’s HFWA enforcement actions and guidance updates.
New topics will include the impact of the overturn of Roe v. Wade on employer benefit plans, expected changes to federal test for when a worker may be classified as an independent contractor and the expected increase in the federal minimum salary level required for employees to be exempt from overtime.
I will briefly go over where we are with CO Family and Medical Leave Initiative. And I will provide data on whether and by how much employers are increasing employee pay in response to rising inflation.
