This session will focus on the upcoming Parisian Colors concert, offering insight into a program of French chamber music for piano, strings, and flute. Violinist Chee-Yun, cellist Karissa Shivone, pianist Benjamin Hochman, and flutist Jennifer Steele bring these colorful and expressive works to life in a program that captures French music at a pivotal moment. Spanning the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the repertoire traces the evolution from the lush colors and atmospheric textures of Impressionism to the cleaner lines and modern sensibilities that emerged in its wake, revealing a vibrant period of artistic transformation in French music.
