CHEE-YUN HOUSE PARTY

Join internationally acclaimed violinist Chee-Yun for an exclusive evening at a private home, featuring an intimate performance, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and a special conversation with Verne Lundquist. Guests will have the opportunity to engage directly with Chee-Yun during a Q&A, gaining insight into her artistry, career, and musical perspective in a relaxed, up-close setting.

A winner of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions and recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant, Chee-Yun has performed with many of the world’s leading orchestras, including the San Francisco, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Atlanta, and National symphony orchestras, as well as the Saint Paul and Los Angeles Chamber Orchestras. As a recitalist, she has appeared in major cities across the United States, including New York, Chicago, Washington, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta.

Renowned for her flawless technique, radiant tone, and expressive artistry, Chee-Yun has captivated audiences on five continents. Her distinguished career includes performances at the White House for President Bill Clinton and at the United Nations in celebration of Korea’s National Foundation Day. Recent highlights include appearances with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and collaborations with acclaimed guitarist Mak Grgić.

Her recording Serenata Notturno, released by Decca Korea, went platinum within six months, further cementing her reputation as a leading voice in classical music. In addition to her performance career, Chee-Yun is a dedicated educator, having held faculty positions at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Indiana University, and Southern Methodist University.
