Taking place at a State Wildlife Area where human use is very limited you will be led by a Program Director from the Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition in an area teeming with wetland habitat a mere 5 miles outside of town- don't miss out!
About Naturalist and The Colorado Crane Conservation Coalition(CCCC), Erin Gelling is a full-time program director for CCCC and has volunteered with their organization since 2014, and is in the process of completing a master’s degree in rangeland ecology from the University of Wyoming. The CCCC arose 10 years ago when Sandhill Crane's hunting regulations began going under debate. Thankfully with hunting remaining illegal today the CCCC conserve and protect the Rocky Mountain Population of Greater Sandhill Cranes and their habitat using science and education to connect people with this iconic species. CCCC is the collaborative leader in fostering the long-term sustainability of the Rocky Mountain Population of Greater Sandhill Cranes.
