2023 PLEIN AIR EVENT at SAM

Steamboat Art Museum hosts its 2023 PLEIN AIR EVENT the week of September 22– 29. SAM will gather 50 artists from around the country to capture-in-paint the fabulous fall colors and favorite places through artist’s eyes. The week-long event produces extraordinary works by artists of all ability levels and creates a camaraderie amongst the painters and the community. Artists can be seen working throughout the valley, downtown, along the roads and rivers, and on scenic ranches from Yampa to Clark. Join us for the following events!

Sept. 23 – Quick Draw at the Farmers Market, 10-2pm
Sept. 27 - Sunset Reception at Alpine Mountain Ranch & Club, 5-7pm (ticketed event)
Sept. 28 - An Evening with Kathleen Hudson at SAM, 5-6pm
Sept. 29 - Opening Reception, Awards & Sale, 5:00 to 8:00 pm at SAM.
