Steamboat Terrain Park’s new, yes, 20 ft tall / 24 ft wide, wall ride that’s what! A one of a kind feature that is sure to put a glimmer in the eye of every ‘Park Rat’ and hopefully our advanced Mavericks Terrain Park on the map this season!

This is just one of many features that Steamboat’s Terrain Park Manager, Nick Roma, with the assistance of Andrew Ehrnst, has been hard at work building all summer. Steamboat’s Summer Terrain Park Project has included replacing and refurbishing all rails and boxes for this winter season. To be exact 10 new small boxes, 10 new medium boxes and 5 new large features!

So rest assured while we’ve been biking and hiking and climbing and enjoying the summer sunshine, Nick and Andrew have been fully focused on winter, “making this seasons parks the most progressive and consistent parks ever!” And this of course, is music to the ears of every freestyle jibber in Steamboat for sure! Catering to all skill sets, the new features create safe opportunities for beginners to learn to slide boxes, as well as provide for those of us wanting to progress to dialing in advanced tricks on a variety of more technical features.

Hearing all this tantalizing news has made me pretty pumped about winter! I’ll see you guys in the park – More specifically I’ll be the one hitting the 16ft long 4 ft wide picnic table that I’ve been waiting 5 seasons for! Thank you Steamboat Ski Resort!
