Blogger, Molly Killien, Chamber Staff Member At the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association the staff prides themselves on being not just producers of outstanding summer events, advocates for local businesses and leaders within the community…they also like to make up holidays and fun reasons to celebrate life in Steamboat Springs. You heard that right. We make our own rules! (…well kind of.)
This summer, the Steamboat Chamber staff along with any willing participants near and far, are launching “Western Wednesdays,” a day to wear cowboy boots, cowgirl hats and other western gear so that they don’t get rusty in our closets and also as a fun way to showcase Steamboat’s western heritage throughout the summer months.
This summer, check back with the Steamboat Springs Daily Blog every Wednesday for insights on Western life here in the Yampa Valley. Learn about the Steamboat Springs Pro Rodeo Series, Steamboat’s earliest days and pioneers and about local businesses that keep the Western spirit alive.
On Wednesdays send us your photos (email firstname.lastname@example.org) of your “Western Wednesday” outfits with your staff, your family and/or your friends. We will post them on the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association Facebook page. It doesn’t get easier than that.
Help us celebrate summer by participating in “Western Wednesdays.” Yee-Haw!
