Have you ever wondered what a bird’s eye view of Steamboat would look like?  I got the opportunity yesterday to see Steamboat from up above.  Joe, the committee head for the 4th Annual Wild West Air Fest took myself and the Special Events Director on a 35 minute flight that volunteers will receive for their time at this Labor Day weekend event.  The flight started by flying over Sleeping Giant's head, then turned towards the Twenty Mile Coal Mine, out towards Stagecoach, just past the ski area and then back to the airport.  It was amazing to see how green the valley is, the neatly cut hay fields, cattle grazing all around and the town from up above.  This Labor Day weekend is sure to be a good time with classic cars, vintage airplanes, demonstrations with remote control planes, guest speakers including Ralph Hood and so much more.  For more details on Labor Day weekend visit our events calendar or if you are interested in volunteering please call 970-875-7006.
