Sometimes in a town like Steamboat Springs, you feel like you know a lot people. This is a place where there seems to be a two-degrees of separation rule, not the typical six-degrees of separation. Small town qualities, like knowing your neighbors and peers are great examples of what makes this place great.

Last night, my theory was put to the test as the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association hosted the inaugural Young Professional Networking event at bistro c.v. in downtown Steamboat Springs. Let me tell you, I met a bunch of new people, made tons of connections and learned a lot more about my community.

This new program is a community development program committed to cultivating a community of young professionals by providing an outlet to build partnerships through professional development, philanthropic involvement and cultural, recreational and social opportunities.

The kick-off event was a huge success. If you are interested in learning more or participating in this group please check out the YPN webpage.
