When you’re looking for a place to stay in Steamboat Springs, you’ll have to think long and hard about exactly the experience you want – chances are a hotel or motel property in Steamboat is going to be able to provide it to a T. From slopeside room service to budget and pet-friendly, there’s always a way to stay right in the middle of the action.
In the summertime, it’s hard to beat being right downtown, and the popular old town hotels will fill up fast.
The Hotel Bristol is quaint and historic, and you’ll wake up in the heart of the downtown district just a block away from the Yampa River if you fancy a float and a few blocks to the bustling Saturday Farmers Market.
And who can miss the Rabbit Ears Motel – you’ve certainly seen the sign. Those bright pink neon ears and googly eyes are a historic landmark, and the hotel is known for its clean rooms, riverside downtown location and friendly staff.
Up on the mountain, The Steamboat Grand and Sheraton Steamboat Resort have everything from king beds to multiple-room condo configurations, plus pools, conference space, spas, shuttles and more.
Then there are the boutique properties that have enough flair to make them worth seeking out. The Inn at Steamboat is close to the ski area, has a pool area just made for lounging and a Relaxation Room where you may want to book a massage after a day out on the slopes or trails.

Pet-friendly
Sometimes, you just can’t leave your four-legged friend behind. It’s a growing trend to travel with your pets, and Steamboat Springs’ hotels are hip to the latest travel styles.
A hike, bike ride, walk downtown or a lounge at Burgess Creek just isn’t the same without a furry friend, so bringing your dog to Steamboat Springs (named Dog Town USA in 2013 by Dog Fancy magazine) just may well be an option.
On the high end, the Sheraton Steamboat Resort allows dogs, and is a frisbee’s throw from the bubbling Burgess Creek and the Thunderhead hiking trail at Steamboat Ski Area.

Other pet-friendly hotels include the Highway 40 adjacent properties like the Holiday Inn, Steamboat Hotel, Quality Inn & Suites, Rabbit Ears Motel, Nordic Lodge and Fairfield Inn & Suites. All of these have easy access to the main paved byway through town - the Yampa River Core Trail - perfect for sniffing around and meeting other four-legged friends.
