In Steamboat Springs, downtown shopping is a favorite activity of mine. There are so many things to do and people to see that I find myself wondering the streets for a few hours at a time. The shops are so unique, there are many varieties of food and the people in town are always to colorful and friendly. It is nice to feel like a part of the community, recognized and trusted. Case and point, yesterday while shopping at a downtown shoes store the store owner let me take home a pair of shoes to try on at home without buying them with my credit card first. She said, “This way you will know if you really like them or not. I trust you.” She got my credit card information so I could call the next day to officially make the purchase. Only in a small town like Steamboat.
