The temperature rising above 70 degrees today in Steamboat Springs is a sure sign that spring is here and summer is soon on its way. In town, where just a few weeks ago there were snow drifts almost 6 feet high, there now is green grass and flowers growing all over the place. The only snow in town is on the ski mountain which will take a while to melt due to our record breaking season of snow fall. This weekend was the real deal. It was my first time playing tennis for the season. A friend and I played at the outside courts at Howelsen Hill on the other side of the Yampa River. We followed our tennis game with a yummy milkshake. If that Saturday afternoon doesn’t sound like spring/summer, I am not sure what does.
