In an effort to be healthier, more active and introduce new workouts into my weekly schedule, I took a Pilates-yoga fusion class yesterday after work. The local studio where I took the class has been highly recommended for their classes, teachers and atmosphere and this was my first real chance to see how I liked this type of exercise. The class was full of men and women of all ages and really challenged me both physically and mentally. The sense of community was very strong at the class last night which (besides my abdominal muscles aching) is what I took away with me.

The whole experience was very Steamboat. I am not sure how to describe that feeling other than saying there were participants young and old, beginners and experts mixed with longtime students and new blood like myself. I’ll be back, not only for the workout but the fun people and friendly environment too.
