Construction around the Headwall area of Steamboat Ski Resort is continuing with heavy equipment moving dirt as part of a total re-grade of the beginners' learning area as well as cranes and work crews working to complete the new Christie Peak Express, six-pack lift in time for an opening in mid-December.

Beautiful weather has cooperated with work crews as they race to complete the many on-mountain projects occurring around Steamboat during this off-season. Forecasters are calling for a change in weather over the coming weekend into next week with cooler temperatures, but still minimal precipitation.

I don't know much, but two things are for sure - all the work around the resort is certain to provide a much improved experience for visitors and while there isn't much snow around these days the snow will come, sooner of later Steamboat gets the snow...
