Happy New Year! New beginnings come with new snow in Steamboat Springs. In the last two weeks, the Steamboat Ski Resort Corporation has reported over 6 feet of new snow, making December 2007 a month that all skiers and riders will not soon forget. However, all this snow combined with harsh winter weather conditions made for an interesting weekend and New Years Eve for many traveling in Colorado State. With much of Interstate 70 closed Sunday night and into most of the day Monday, travel to and from Denver and the front range was difficult.
The weekend storm did leave us with lots of new snow to enjoy and now sunny skies and blue bird days await all who venture to Steamboat Springs. Here is wishing for more snow in 2008.
