Before we say farewell to summer, sun block and sandals, the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association welcomes all to the 2007 Labor Day Celebration, featuring the 3rd Annual Wild West Air Fest, September 1-2nd at the Steamboat Springs Airport.

"Wild West Air Fest is a unique event to Northwestern Colorado. It is a great way to bring summer to a close in a fun and exciting way," said Matt Windt, Special Events Director at the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association.

"With Steamboat as a backdrop to so many different vintage aircrafts, classic cars and flight crafts, it will be an event like no other. Air shows take place all over the country, but I don't think there are any as beautiful as Steamboat's."

Not just an event for airplane enthusiasts, Wild West Air Fest will feature toys big and small for the entire family. The event will include opportunities to view classic cars, vintage and warbird airplanes, remote controlled aircrafts, and hangliders, as well as airplane rides for event goers.

The action does not stop at the Steamboat Springs Airport. The weekend also includes the Steamboat Stock Dog Challenge, Downtown Sidewalk Sale, 10K at 10,000 feet and Rocky Mountain Bull Bash - Pro Bull Riding at Romick Arena in Downtown Steamboat Springs.

"The Labor Day experience is really the entire weekend," said Windt. "We want people to come and make a weekend of the different activities we have in store. There is a combination of new and old-school events for everyone to enjoy and make their trip to Steamboat memorable."
