Take off with the 6th Annual Wild West Air Fest Labor Day weekend, September 4th and 5th, featuring  a vintage and warbird static display, beautifully restored classic cars, radio controlled airplane shows as well as fun and educational activities for the kids. The best part of all is that you can be part of the action, experience the thrill of riding in a B-25 Mitchell Bomber or C-47. The Wild West Air Fest is proud to welcome two accomplished Special Guest Speakers Maj. Gen. Patrick Halloran and Christina Olds. The excitement continues with the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum’s KidSpace engaging all ages in flight simulators and air-based craft projects. This fun family event takes place all weekend from 9am to 3pm at the Steamboat Airport. Tickets are only $5 for adults, $3 for youth 6-12 and FREE for ages 5 and under.

We are also looking for volunteers to help us out in our Kidspace where you will help kids to build model airplanes out of candy and wood or even a Styrofoam rocket ship. Every volunteer will receive free admission into the event, a free volunteer t-shirt, and a free dawn patrol flight around the Yampa Valley. For more information about volunteering please contact Paulette at 970-875-7006.
