Last fall I blogged about the countdown clock at local Mexican restaurant Azteca Taqueria in historic old town Steamboat Springs. The clock counts down the days, hour and minutes until a specific, significant date. Last summer and fall the clock was counting down to the opening of the ski season. Every time a customer would walk in they would be reminded of how long we had to go till we were able to hit the slopes.

Now, with ski season reaching its end, the clock has been reset to count down the time until the seniors graduate from Steamboat Springs High School. Currently the clock reads: 39 days, 1 hour and 10 minutes. This clock and all that it represents, really is a great example of why I love this charming, small mountain community.
