Looking for some new reading material I headed over to the Bud Werner Memorial Library on my lunch break. It was my first visit to the library since moving into town. What a great place! The open layout is so inviting. There is even a café area where browsers can stop in for a snack or a beverage.

On the ground floor you can travel through the rows of new arrival books, DVDs, CDs and books on tape. A unique section I came across was the Literary Sojourn section where you can pick up titles from this year’s 17th Annual Literary Sojourn reading list. I picked up Good Evening Mr. and Mrs. America, and All the Ships at Sea by Richard Bausch and The Glass Palace by Amitav Ghosh. I look forward to reading these and the five other books I picked up.

The library is also a great resource if you are working on a second language. Lately, I’ve been trying to revive my Spanish and decided to check out audio CDs to listen to in the car as I drive around town. It is actually very effective and fun! Hasta mañana!
