The YOUTH EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIP FUND (Y.E.S.) Golf Tournament is organized by the Steamboat Springs Chamber Ambassadors. The funds are awarded in two categories, consisting of Routt County high school graduating seniors and past recipients of the scholarship still enrolled. To date, $176,000 in total funding has been awarded. The Y.E.S. Golf Tournment is played at Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club, a Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed course, managed by Troon Golf. The tournment is followed by a Chamber After-Hours Mixer where there will be food, drinks, and prizes. The mixer is open to Chamber members and their guests. |

This Year's Tournament
"We are extremely excited to celebrate the silver anniversary of the Y.E.S. Golf Tournament. It is an annual rite of spring and the perfect way to kick off the golfing season,” said Stacy Huffman, Tournament Director for the 2013 Y.E.S. Golf Tournament. “For 25 years this scholarship fund has supported many Routt County students, and we greatly appreciate the long standing support from the Steamboat community.”
The $135 entry fee is discounted to $115 per player until April 19th, 2013, and discounted to $125 per player until May 24th, 2013.
Team Pricing is as follows:
$400 team of 4; $500 team of 5 if registered by May 24th
$550 team of 4; $625 team of 5 if registered after May 25th
The tournament format is a mixed scramble with four-player teams, or five-player teams if a team has at least one female player. There is no handicap required; however, no team may have more than two players with handicaps of 12 or less.
Registration is at 10am on June 5th and tee off is at 11:30am.
The Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, with additional prizes for the longest drives, longest putt and drives closest to the center line, just to name a few. There will be two Hole-In-One prizes, a car donated by Steamboat Motors and a $25,000 cash prize donated by Yampa Valley Bank.
