Steamboat Springs is home to what is recognized as the oldest continuously operating performing arts school and camp in the nation. The Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School & Camp opened in 1913.

Steamboat Springs has a wide variety of arts and cultural opportunities, ranging from the annual free summer concert series to art galleries to the engaging programs and exhibitions of the Steamboat Arts Council, to speakers and films.
