Weekend festivities include the sights and sounds of the 4th Annual Wild West Air Fest featuring vintage and warbird airplanes, remote controlled aircrafts and nostalgic classic cars – all staples of this family-friendly event at the Steamboat Springs Airport. Admission buttons for Saturday and Sunday are $5 for adults, $3 for children 6-12 years old, and kids 5 and under are FREE! Wild West Air Fest truly celebrates the family spirit of Steamboat,” says Sandy Evans-Hall, Executive Vice President at the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association. New this year, the Air Fest will host special guest, Ralph Hood. Recently featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Hood a motivational speaker with an aviation focus, is a Fortune 100 Trainer who has entertained and enlightened audiences worldwide. “We have so much going on this weekend at the Wild West Air Fest it is a must-attend event. We are adding a number of new elements to the event this year including special guest speakers Ralph Hood and Burt Newmark. The Wings Over the Rockies KidSpace is back again this year and always a huge hit,” notes Kara Givnish, Special Event and Sponsorship Director at the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association. Roundup your herd and attend the Steamboat Stock Dog Challenge where top working-dogs herd sheep as their handlers use only their voice and whistles as commands. Event admission is free at the Stanko Ranch on Twenty Mile Road west of town on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. And saddle up for the Rocky Mountain Bull Bash PBR at Romick Arena! The top 45 bull riders in the country will compete for over $15,000 in prizes and a chance to compete at the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas.
